Find that perfect book!

• Let the interests of your child guide their book choices.
• Picture books are great for everyone.
• Suggest some of your favorite books to your child.
• Browse and discover.
• Take the “5-Finger Test.” Open up a book to any page. Ask your child to put his fingers down on the book and read the five words where his fingers land on the page. If your child has difficulty reading these five random words, the reading level of the book may be too difficult. Even if the book is too difficult for your child to read alone, it may make an excellent read-aloud selection for the family.
